National Film Festival for Talent Youth Featured Filmmaker (virtual)
Jaelyn Ellis is a writer, director, and producer based in NYC. She particularly enjoys the coming-of-age and horror genres for their often shared tendencies to be female-led and explore themes of gender and sexuality. She is passionate about creating stories that center people from marginalized communities and backgrounds in front of and behind the camera. She is a 2022 recipient of the Future of Film is Female Grant, and her films have premiered at festivals such as FrightFest, and NFFTY. Jaelyn is a graduate of the Florida State University College of Motion Picture Arts and has since worked on productions such as Ryan Murphy’s Feud, Law & Order, and upcoming independent feature The Dutchman.
