We couldn't do this film challenge without this great field of women alumni of our high school media programs. Thank you for giving your time and expertise to this project.
Vannessa Biggers is a local barista and video production student at the Art Institute of Seattle. I've been focused on media arts since a young age and found in leadership positions for various small media organizations. I've very much enjoyed competing in multiple festivals, and I actively pursue opportunities to teach those around me in both videography and still photography. Lately, I've been focusing on smaller-scale projects for clients and building my personal portfolio.
Hello! My name is Baylee Sinner. I am a senior at Washington State University, getting a customized degree in film production and business, with all of my film classes coming from the University of Southern California. I am currently working on a short film written by one of my friends from USC, and a music video of a local band. I am also in the process of getting licensed for my own business called Cole Peak Productions. More of my work can be seen on my website, http://bayleecole.weebly.com/.
My name is Kendra Fowler. I attended the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles, California from 2008 to 2010. My major was in Screenwriting. I currently work for a marine biologist, for who I edit videos of her marine animals that she takes to conferences she attends. Of my own projects I am working on right now is a Feature length Fantasy/Horror treatment I wrote in an alumni workshop through my school. I am also working on revising my thesis horror screenplay called Hollow. Both screenplays I hope, when finished, to direct and produce myself.
Hi! My name is Rachel Mallasch! I am a freshman at Azusa Pacific University about 25 miles Southeast of LA and I am a BFA(Bachelor of Fine Arts) Film Production major. For my first semester film classes, I took Production and Intro to Directing and loved it! Second semester I’ll be taking Sound Design, Cinema & Television Business, and Story & Character. I’m obsessed with APU and California! I love being so close to the industry. I got a job at APU’s Equipment Distribution Center second semester in addition to assistant producing for a senior thesis film called “Luiseno.” I am thinking about emphasizing in either producing or sound design but I am still unsure. Anyways check out some of my work http://rachelmallasch21.weebly.com/
